In 1896, the Viscount Sanches de Frias described the Serra do Açor as a "very curious hedge of converging mountains, forming a region of exceptional ruggedness, where it will be difficult to find a kilometre of flatness". Since then, little has changed in this territory that, although central on the map of the country, seems to be far from everything.
In this room, Açor, you will find the perfect base to set off to discover unknown landscapes, such as Pico da Cebola which, with its 1438 metres of altitude is the highest schist mountain formation in our country, or the route of the very peculiar Aldeias de Xisto. On your return, you will find a very comfortable room, equipped with a sleeping area and a large living area, with direct access to the historical gardens of Quinta da Porta.
